The Guild Wars 2 has been a much-awaited MMO since 2007 when the game was first announced to be launched. The prequel of the game was much successful across the world and the gamers around the planet have waited for the second part with rapt anticipation. ArenaNet, the publishers of GW announced the game’s launch back in 2007. In 2009, the trailer was released which created rippling effects among the gamer crowd. Then the publishers announced that the game may be released towards the end of 2011. It did not happen although. As per sources, the game is going to be released pretty soon, finally putting an end to all cravings.

The much-talked-about MMORPG has literally undergone sea changes since the development work started. But gamers had actually lost hope of releasing of the game. But with the recent announcements and news popping up, the enthusiasts across the world have found some new reasons to get excited. Some of the gamers have talked about Guild Wars sequel on online forums and a good percentage of them have kept it ahead of SWTOR as well!

This February only, select few media houses would be invited for a beta launch of the game. By March and April this year, people will be asked and encouraged to test play the game for free. What this implies is the company is going to gather market responses and user feedbacks and probably planning to release the game in early summer this year. Right now, ArenaNet is busy giving a final touch to the Guild Wars 2, a probable leading MMO of tomorrow.
