League of Legends

League of Legends is a fun-filled video game that was developed as well as published by the famous Riot games. They made this game for the operating system of Microsoft windows. The design of the game and the outline was inspired from the famous DotA or the Defense of the Ancients map that was made for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne.

The notion of this game of League of Nations was first heard in 2008 in the month of October. It was released soon after within a year, on October 27 of the year 2009. This game had been in closed beta format from around April of 2009, up until October of 2009 after which it became an open beta till its release.

The general idea goes like this. The players can be a part of one of two teams called Champions and 5v5 or 3v3. Since 1 December, 2011, it has been announced that there are in fact almost 88 distinct champions!

Now, each of this team will start at the different and opposing sides on a map. This takes place in a place which is called "fountain", and is situated near a "Nexus". Here, a match takes place and is won either when the opponent’s team gets destroyed or if or when the remaining team will concede defeat and surrender.

In order to destroy the opponent or the Nexus, the teams have to work through a tower series which is called the "Turrets".

These are frequently placed along lanes that are paths to all the bases. As the player goes along this lane, he or she can gain levels by killing champions of the opponents’ teams as well as "Minions" that are just small NPCs within the game.
