Twitter Inspired MMO WildStar Will Be Released Soon

It’s Twitter now. NCSoft and Carbine Studios, publishers of WildStar, an upcoming MMO has officially stated that the game’s quest text is inspired directly by Twitter, a popular social networking platform. The Senior Narrative Designer of the Game publishing company, Cory Herndog, has divulged this information in a recent blog post. Herndog has stated that the 140 characters limitation of Twitter is a widely accepted norm and they are following this sleek and smart trend in designing the quest box of their later MMO on the move. Adding to his declaration, Herndog has explained that people has become more impatient with long texts and there was no better social platform than Twitter could be followed in this regard.
What this implies is social media is becoming ubiquitous in all parts of our life. It seems that the MMO industry is also leaning towards social media trends with times changing. Some industry experts are although proclaiming that this strategy is taken by the publishers in order to attract the Twitter addicts to play the game.
Opinions apart, NCSoft’s WildStar has already created a sensation among the MMORPG-freaks around the world. The game features a mysterious planet named Nexus around which anticipations have been accumulated. Scientists, Soldiers, Explorers, Settlers and a planet on the verge of reality…it’s a whole dream world to explore! The game play video released last year created rippling effect among the gamers from across the planet. NCSoft Narrative Designer have added this Twitter-inspired quest box to make the game contemporary yet futuristic.
It’s now to see how many ‘Followers’ WildStar gets.
